The topics discussed in past editions are urban mobility, education to sustainable mobility, sustainable mobility in tourism and leisure time, company mobility and an overview of examples of sustainable mobility.  

Azione di sensibilizzazione sulle emissioni di CO2

Mendrisio MobiliTI attracts many speakers and participants from different parts of the world. It cannot, therefore, be avoided to face CO2 emissions due to the conference itself.  We estimate it as indispensable to act to reduce as much as possible the environmental impact and to keep going on with awareness raising actions.  

On this purpose, similarly to last years, we invite all participants to reach the Coronado Hotel of Mendrisio in a way as much sustainable as possible, by using public transportation, efficient vehicles, by riding a bike or by walking. The conference fee is added a CO2 tax of CHF 5.- (3 EUR) that can be returned by presenting a valid ticket for public transportation.

The money gathered with the CO2 tax supports some international carbon offset projects of the myclimate.org organization, which compensate all kind of greenhouse gas emissions due to the conference: those generated by speakers and participants transfers, but also those due to heating, kitchen and the food transport, etc. With a modest financial effort, great CO2 savings are obtained.
