INFORMATION ABOUT THE 2009 EDITION OF THE CONFERENCE CLICK HERE
MobiliTI is an annual international conference, held in the spring, which came about in 2003 as part of the Cantonal VEL2 project in order to establish a regular meeting on sustainable mobility issues. The international Mendrisio MobiliTI conference was thus created, the name of which is the result of a play on words with the English word “mobility” and the initials of Canton Ticino (TI), joined to the name of the town hosting the event.
The conference was thought up in regards to the philosophy of dealing with specific issues linked to sustainable mobility, by introducing successful projects already implemented in other places. In this manner ideas and suggestions are given for applying these projects in other regions, drawing attention with concrete examples. Mendrisio MobiliTI has shown itself to be an excellent occasion to meet others involved in the field, exchange know-how and bring about new synergies.
Each year, after the conference, the minutes of the conference are transcribed, usually in a CD-ROM format, in two languages, which can be purchased from infovel.
Who is it meant for?
The conference, which is open to everybody, is intended particularly for those working in the field of mobility and transportation and in the field specifically treated, but also to all those who are sensitive about this issue and who want to profit by the chance to discover something new.

Mendrisio MobiliTI is a product well-suited for being sponsored each year by various partners, as it offers direct visibility. The conference has always been sponsored by the Department of the Territory, Regio Insubrica and the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio.
